Bobblehead Blog Springs onto the Internet
CollectBobblehead.com is a web store that specializes in bobbleheads (standalone figures that have giant heads attached to the body with a spring, which causes the head to bobble) of all sorts. Recently, the site added a blog to its many features.

From baseball players like Ichiro Suzuki to politicians like late President Ronald Reagan, bobbleheads of all sorts are found to represent nearly every aspect of everyday life. More popular now than ever, a website that specializes in bobbleheads, www.CollectBobblehead.com, is making collectors' heads spin.
"Bobbleheads are pretty fun and there's something about having a cartoon caricature of your favorite athlete or movie star," said Keith Valente, who started the website in December 2008.
"Originally, the site started as sports bobbleheads only, but the expansion was not far behind that."
With everything from athletes to politicians to comic book characters to TV and movie collectible bobbleheads, the web store's stock is amongst the largest out on the market and, according to Valente, it will only continue to grow.
"The site is updated once a week," he said. "I'm open to the idea of carrying new products based on what peoples' suggestions are."
A new feature that Valente added recently is the pop culture and sports information blog, www.CollectBobbleheadInfo.com.
The blog has profiles on some of the bobbleheads' real world and movie/television counterparts, as well as some technical information about bobblehead history and design.
While most people immediately think about baseball cards, comic books, stamps and coins as the go-to collectible merchandise, bobbleheads is not too far behind from being mentioned in the same sentence with the aforementioned list.
"Bobbleheads are number one on my list of collectible items," said Valente. "I think they're fun and it's something that brings a quick smile to your face."
