We've been in the custom metal fabrication business for 30 years

Midbrook, Inc., of Jackson, MI, is now producing custom utility and surgical case carts for hospitals and other medical facilities. Midbrook has been working in the metal fabrication field for over 30 years and believes that their extensive experience will assist them in making user-friendly carts for medical facilities.
“We’ve been in the custom metal fabrication business for 30 years,” said Midbrook Business Development Director Jamie Crowley. “Our experience in designing custom solutions translates well to the medical industry, where we can produce surgical case carts and utility carts specifically for customers”.
Midbrook employs a team of fabrication specialists that take the ideas and designs of a customer and turn them into a working product. The Factory for Hire concept at Midbrook has helped develop numerous prototypes for independent business owners and highly customized metal fabrications for other companies. Surgical case carts and utility carts are part of a long tradition of customized metal fabrication solutions produced by Midbrook.
“We’ve found that buying a custom designed surgical case cart or utility cart can be difficult and expensive for a medical facility,” said Crowley.
Many surgical case carts and utility carts are only available in standard sizes and models from large manufacturers and distributers. By utilizing their experience in custom metal fabrication, Midbrook can develop individualized surgical case carts and utility carts quickly, and cost effectively, for hospitals. In addition to their line of case carts and utility carts, Midbrook custom fabricates medical cabinets, tables, cart washers, and other decontamination equipment.
Since Midbrook manufactures the carts in their own facility and then ships them to the customer, they are able to keep costs significantly lower. Midbrook eliminates the need for distributors and the rise in price associated with them.
“Midbrook offers several models of surgical case carts and utility carts with standardized dimensions,” said Crowley. “We know that not everyone will have the need for a custom design – but our experience and knowledge of fabrication allows us to take those standard models and modify them to suit the needs of a certain facility or application.”
Midbrook’s flexibility and experience in custom fabrication allows surgical case carts and utility carts to be individualized at a cost comparable to a standardized cart and a similar lead time.
“We’ve been producing custom metal fabrications for a long time,” said Crowley. “This gives us an advantage since we’re constantly working on one-off or other custom fabrications and we can turn out a surgical case cart or utility cart that is customized for the customer in a time frame similar to ordering from a catalog.”
