About Laurén LaRocca:
Having spent the bulk of her teens on the dance floors of LA's hip-hop clubs, Laurén LaRocca attributes her soul-/hip-hop-/reggae-influenced pop music to an array of inspirational artists, ranging from Dr. Dre to Patsy Cline.
In 2008, LaRocca collaborated with music producer Hector Delgado (Jay-Z, Onyx, Ledisi) and emerged on the scene with the release of her debut single "Whole Lot Better." The single immediately caught the attention of the industry, as well as some of LA's premiere DJs.
The ska/reggae-tinged follow-up single "Keep that Bitch Away," in which LaRocca calls out LA's "nasty plastic-surgery bitches," was released digitally last month and is currently available on iTunes and other popular digital-media stores.
