Secure Vantage Technologies extends Compliance Security Suite with new customer-requested features, incl. support for additional platforms and centralized cross-platform audit reporting.

Today, Secure Vantage Technologies announces a range of customer-requested new features and updates for its popular Compliance Security Suite for Microsoft System Center, including extended cross-platform support for non-Windows systems. In addition to announcing support for native auditing of Unix, Linux and Cisco, this release includes improved support for virtualized systems, consolidated cross platform reporting as well as a rich control library which contains hundreds of audit controls and reports that support a range of common security and auditing best practices.

The Secure Vantage Compliance Security Suite helps enterprises of all sizes automate and streamline security management, auditing and the task of enforcing GRC controls across multiple regulations, including standards like GSX, PCI, SOX and many others. Designed to overlay existing System Center infrastructure, Secure Vantage Compliance Security requires no separate infrastructure of its own, making it straightforward to deploy and minimizing maintenance costs.

"Meeting security auditing and regulatory compliance needs can be very costly and result in enterprises investing in numerous point solutions," said Jeremiah Beckett, President of Secure Vantage. "Using Secure Vantage Solutions for System Center we find that our customers are saving 50% or more in direct costs alone. Now that we can provide a consolidated solution that spans non-Windows systems too, enterprises using System Center gain an even greater return on investment."

"Customers require solutions, such as those delivered by System Center, for managing and monitoring across their heterogeneous enterprise environments including their security compliance," said Ryan O'Hara, director, System Center Product Management, Microsoft. "With its integration with System Center and ongoing support for non-Windows systems, Secure Vantage continues to provide cost-effective and intelligent solutions that help our customers support their security auditing and GRC requirements."

Developed in close collaboration with customers using Secure Vantage's solutions in their production environments, the enhanced reports, alerting rules and accelerators address security and auditing scenarios for Active Directory, Windows Security, Group Policy and new integration with System Center Virtual Machine Manager Performance and Resource Optimization feature to provide full auditing support for virtual systems. Similar levels of auditing are being developed to provide native support for Unix/Linux Servers and Cisco routers with System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2.

"Secure Vantage Technologies provides the essential solutions we needed to optimize OpsMgr/ACS for our organization and NERC audit requirements including data archiving, historical reporting and security control alerting," stated Jackie Kaley, IT System Engineer with NorthEast Utilities. "Secure Vantage's solutions have given us exactly what we needed to extend System Center to support our audit needs and continue to be a great partner to work with."

"Secure Vantage Security Suite on Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 has added considerable value to our PCI compliance efforts," says Anthony Ashmead, Wintel support engineer at Virgin Media. "The product provided us with exactly what we needed for our security needs."

Attendees at the Microsoft Management Summit 2008 can visit the CommNet monitoring environment where the suite is in use and being showcased for the fourth year in a row, as well as visiting Secure Vantage booth 322 in the exhibition hall.
