Key Metric Software has released version 2.0 of OfficeStatus, an electronic in/out board software solution that provides near-real-time employee status and availability information to an organization's entire workforce.

OfficeStatus works to eliminate the inefficiencies associated with not knowing who's in, who's out, and who's busy. OfficeStatus distributes this information through its employee status board interface, which provides immediate insight into the current status of every staff member - along with details such as expected return date and time, contact information, status comments, and more. In turn, this information facilitates labor routing decisions, improves staff collaboration and security, and accelerates customer service and support capabilities.

OfficeStatus users interact with the system through two interfaces - a rich Windows client application that integrates with the end user's desktop and is able to detect user status changes automatically, or an AJAX-based web interface that's accessible anytime, from anywhere, and from any operating system. Features of both user interfaces include an auto-updating employee in/out status board, instant access to employee contact information, status watches with notifications, support for scheduled status changes, numerous built-in reports, employee messaging, and much more. Users can switch between these interfaces as needed.

OfficeStatus is a self-hosted software solution, and is immediately available for download and evaluation from http://www.officestatus.com/download/. Prices start at $200.00 USD for 10 users, with discounts available for educational, non-profit, and governmental organizations.
