As part of the Green Transport Plan, the Tax Free Biking scheme enables businesses to purchase cycles and then loan them to employees at a discounted rate. After savings on VAT, income tax and national insurance are applied, the cost of the cycles and equipment are typically 38-45% lower than if the employee were to purchase them privately.
