We, at First Fidelity Reserve, are very excited to continue our long standing partnership with the NRA with the sponsorship of these very prestigious competitive events
Beaumont, TX (Vocus) April 27, 2009
First Fidelity Reserve (FFR) is proud to be announced as the Official Sponsor of the 2009 NRA National Pistol Championships. These championships are recognized as the “World Series of Shooting Sports’ in America and have been a tradition at the Camp Perry facility since 1907.
Mike Krei, Director of NRA’s Competitive Shooting Division, states, “We are thrilled to have First Fidelity Reserve as the Official Sponsor of the 2009 National Pistol Championships. Their sponsorship provides a terrific opportunity for them to reach our competitors and we appreciate their support and commitment to the advancement of NRA’s competitive shooting program.”
“We, at First Fidelity Reserve, are very excited to continue our long standing partnership with the NRA with the sponsorship of these very prestigious competitive events,” says Jason Whitney, CEO. As part of First Fidelity Reserve’s ongoing commitment to the members of the NRA, Mr. Whitney will be awarding the winner of the Pistol Championship a Kahr 1911 pistol customized with a rare 1911 $5 Indian Gold Coin. This timeless treasure is sure to be passed down for generations as a true heirloom from this event.
Whitney went on to say, "First Fidelity Reserve was founded on the tradition of one generation passing along fundamental principles and techniques they believe in to the next. Partnering with the NRA as the exclusive sponsor of the 2009 National Pistol Championships, is just another opportunity we have of sharing the passion for pistol shooting, spending quality time with family and friends and the importance of collecting with the next generation. That is why we are offering this one-of-a-kind prize for the competition.”
The Kahr 1911 handgun is one of the best-valued and coveted pistols on the market, a favorite with collectors and shooters alike. These pistols saw a long military career - from their introduction in 1911 to 1985. The 1911 $5 Indian Gold Coin embedded in the handle represents an exceedingly rare Indian coin minted from 1908 until 1929.
According to Whitney, a life-time NRA member, “There are a lot of parallels between gun collecting and coin collecting. Our idea with the prize was to bring both worlds together.” The NRA Shooting Championships will open with the pistol events on July 13 ending Jul 19 in Camp Perry.
