Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) April 29, 2009
OnMessage, an integrated advertising agency based in Dallas, teamed with the North Texas Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to deliver a successful advertising campaign for the upcoming Komen North Texas Race for the Cure®, utilizing both traditional and digital marketing vehicles.
The North Texas Affiliate of Susan G. Komen realized the need for a full-service marketing partner and turned to OnMessage to produce an integrated marketing plan - from strategic planning to messaging, and campaign development.
Learning that up to 75 percent of the donations raised stay within Collin, Denton and Grayson counties, OnMessage was inspired to create the "Your" campaign, communicating the message that your donation could help your neighbor, your child's teacher, your best friend's sister, your coworker, etc. As an added incentive to race participants, the top fundraisers in Friends for the Cure® program will join Olympic Gold Medalist and Honorary Chairperson, Nastia Liukin at a special luncheon event.
The "Your" campaign includes traditional marketing vehicles such as public service announcement (PSA) ads, direct mail campaigns, Point of Sale (PoS) materials as well as digital marketing programs including e-mail campaigns, banner ads and social media initiatives on Twitter and Facebook. The national organization of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is now internally highlighting the "Your" campaign as one of its "Best Practices."
"Although we've never used a full-service marketing firm in the past, we contacted OnMessage to create consistent messaging and increase brand awareness for this cause, specifically for our upcoming race," said Mary Frances Hoover, race chair, board of directors. "We chose OnMessage because of its reputation for delivering successful results and its experience working with a diverse range of clients," she added.
"OnMessage has been fortunate enough to grow year over year and work with so many great brands," said James O'Gara, president and founder of OnMessage. "As a result, we wanted to give back to the community and there's no better way to do that than to be part of such a great cause like Susan G. Komen."
The "Your" campaign will appear in the Dallas Morning News, Collin County Business Press, Dallas Child and Plano Profile to name a few. In addition, television and radio ads will be on Channel 11, KSCS 96.3, KLUV 98.7 and 103.7 Lite FM, among others.
This year's Komen North Texas Race for the Cure will be held on June 6, on the Plano campuses of EDS and The Campus at Legacy. This year the North Texas Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure will grant more than $800,000 toward the fight against breast cancer by funding grassroots education, screening and treatment programs as well as national research.
