Europe's Leading Poker Publication Steps Up Marketing Effort

Poker Pro Europe magazine is planning a strong presence at the upcoming World Poker Congress in Portugal.

Part of the Poker Pro Media family of magazines, Poker Pro Europe is Europe's leading poker magazine. The company also publishes Poker Pro (U.S.) and the largest publication devoted to Internet poker, Online Poker Pro.

The WPC, now in its fourth year, will be held June 24-25 in Porto, Portugal. The gathering brings together individuals from all facets of the poker industry, including the founder and chief executive of the World Poker Tour, Steve Lipscomb, who is slated to address the conference.

"The World Poker Congress is simply not like other conferences," Lipscomb said. "In attendance are the decision makers from the most exciting companies in the poker arena - and they are there to do business."

John "Johnny Quads" Wenzel, editor-in-chief of Poker Pro Europe, said the magazine jumped at the chance to come in as a sponsor of the event because wherever you find movers and shakers in the poker world, you will find Poker Pro.

"This is a perfect fit for us," Wenzel said. "The WPC will attract the most important people in poker, not just for the present but also for the future, and Poker Pro Europe is a big part of that. Look for us all over the WPC."
