Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) April 29, 2009
Although the economy has slowed and the unemployment rate has risen locally and nationally, employers are still hiring in the information technology sector. MSEmploy Canada (http://www.msemploy.ca ) -- Canada's only Microsoft-focused job and training portal - is sponsoring a career fair in Mississauga on May 6 to connect job candidates with expanding IT companies.
When? May 6, 2009; 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where? Microsoft Canada Head Office; 1950 Meadowvale Blvd., Mississauga, ON
The focus of MSEmploy Canada and the career fair are positions associated with Microsoft technologies, such as .Net, SharePoint, Hyper-V, and Dynamics. Some of the types of jobs being sought are .Net Developer, System Engineer, Technical Support, Project Manager, and Network Administrator.
"Although we are dealing with a very soft economy, many IT companies are still hiring. There remains a strong demand for professionals trained in Microsoft technologies. As Microsoft continues to release new technologies, demand for qualified professionals far exceeds supply, which is why we also focus on training at these events," said Kevin Brice, president of MSEmploy Canada.
MSEmploy career fairs feature technology speakers throughout the event. These speakers will provide an overview of popular, hot Microsoft technologies, highlighting the career opportunities available. Companies scheduled to appear include Dapasoft, CMS Consulting, Trios, Frontline Technologies, and more.
