"The Legend of the Dough" of the dough is a progressive story about two boys who discover Yohoho Dough. We are running a contest for kids to write the next chapter. The winner will receive a cash prize of $100.00 for their creativity and their chapter will be posted on the Yohoho Dough web site.

The Legend of the Dough

When Holly Palm and her son, Chase, set out to create a new product that would encourage family time and creative exercise, they knew that they'd struck gold when parents, teachers and child care providers began praising their product. Now, they have a new goal. Encourage children to tap into their natural creativity, create a story and win cash for it.

"The Legend of the Dough" is an anchor point for our product. My sons came up with the idea themselves and we had a professional writer expand it and clean it up. Now it's time for other kids to have their chance to add to the story," says Holly Palm, creator of Yohoho Dough.

"It's awesome to come up with an idea and then see it grow like this," Palm's son Chase, co-founder and co-creator of Yohoho Dough says. "This is cool! Kids should definitely do this!"

Children are encouraged to visit the website at and read the "Legend of the Dough" and then come up with their own ideas of what happens to the two little boys lost, dirty and alone amongst pirates? That's for kids to decide and Palm has every intention of rewarding them for their creativity. A $100 cash prize is being offered for the entry chosen to represent the next part of the story.

"I thought it was important to show both parents and kids that creativity can and should be rewarded. That kind of cash can really help show kids that they can do something with the fun things in their minds," Palm insists. "My kids have grown a lot with us creating and starting this company and they've learned more than anyone can imagine. I'd love for other parents and kids to have a similar experience, not only with Yohoho Dough, but with seeing how creativity can be encouraged."

The contest runs from April through July 20th and is open to all children ages 6-12. Kids cannot participate without their parents permission and encouragement. Palm hopes that this brings parents and kids together.
