Maytech Communications now offers FTP-Stream V2.0 to its corporate and government clients allowing them access to a fast multiuser FTP hosting service.

The Web Widget has enabled us to take our services to the next level.

Companies and government agencies in need of a better way to handle Web-based file transfer with their clients and employees have a new place to turn. Thanks to the recent launch of FTP-Stream's Web Widget, a fully brandable solution is now available.

"We are extremely pleased to offer FTP-Stream V2.0 to our corporate and government clients," said Antony Freeman, chief executive officer of Maytech Communication. "The new business edition gives companies access to a fast, multiuser FTP hosting service that retains their own unique corporate identities. The easy-to-use widget lets our clients worldwide embed FTP file transfer directly into their own Web pages.

The abilities of the new service are unique in the field, Freeman points out.

"We have competitors who offer FTP hosting," he said. "We also have competitors that offer Web-based file transfer. We are the only ones that combine the two and enable clients to retain their logos and brand in the process. There is free online storage and then there is FTP-Stream, the Cadillac of the industry."

The features offered by FTP-Stream V2.0, although complex, are intuitive for customers to use, Freeman added. They include such things as:

  •     The brandable Web access - FTP-Stream enables clients to access the FTP site on a brandable Web page that features corporate or agency logos and colors. The Web Widget can be used instead to build FTP file transfer directly into corporate Web pages. This means customers don't have to leave a corporate site to enjoy data transfer service.
  •     Security options - The FTP-Stream program provides clients with the security and control they demand. A secure control panel can be used to create multiple logins with private or shared file areas on a corporate FTP site. There is also optional encryption that provides secure file transfer using FTPS or SFTP. This means clients retain control over their own FTP files and who is able to access them.
  •     Optional modules - Clients with more intense needs will find FTP-Stream V2.0 steps up to meet their demands. Three optional modules are available that provide access to tools to automate management of a site, to help with encryption and also to filter for viruses.

"FTP-Stream and the new Web Widget have been designed to give our clients the ability to make large file transfer easy, affordable and professional," Freeman said. "The Web Widget has enabled us to take our services to the next level."
