Oil-Powered Boilers May Be Bursting with Home Insurance Claims
Some oil-powered boilers may not be covered by standard home insurance, leaving homeowners vulnerable to costly repairs, warns Swinton. Swinton, the UK's leading high street retailer of home insurance, estimates that there are one million oil-powered boilers currently in use in the UK.
(PRWEB) April 30, 2009 -- The Environment Agency is also warning that even small leaks can heavily pollute the water supply. Just one litre of oil needed to contaminate one million litres of drinking water.
Oil-powered boilers should be professionally checked each year, consisting of:
1. Visual inspection
2. Cleaning
3. Operation (adjustment and analysis)
4. Parts replacement
5. Documentation
