B. Erin Wylde understands how children expect their mother to be almost magical, even invulnerable...much like a superhero: The Incredible Invisible Woman, not a mere human with feelings and needs.
Where Did I Go? is the perfect book for mothers of all ages. Where Did I Go? explores motherhood in the present, for women with small children, and takes the more mature moms down memory lane for a sentimental and hilarious journey they could never forget; the first steps, the first word, and many other funny moments that may not have been so humorous then, but will make her laugh or even cry tears of joy.

Where Did I Go? smashes the myth of the Bon Bon eating SAHM and explains that there is no universal good or bad choice when deciding to work or stay home with the kids.

...but Wylde was keeping secrets, and not from her readers...but from herself.

Weakened by rape, a horrific motorcycle accident, and the deaths of multiple loved ones, she soon discovered that everything she had gone through pales in comparison to the hell she is faces when she regains her strength and realizes that she is married to a monster. In Where Do I Go From Here?-When the Scars Don't Show, the sequel to Where Did I Go?, set to be released in late June, she explains her horrific life of living with a narcissist, dealing with constant criticism and ridicule, and finding out that her own husband is actually the most vile and evil human being that she has ever known in her life. She tells about finally arriving back in the work force and making great strides in her career, and how her eyes start to open up to see that she has become nothing more than a prostitute and a paycheck for her husband, and much worse than that, a human shield for her children, who are also being harmed by the emotional terrorism dished out by her husband. She also learns that he has done the very same thing before, and that she built an entire life with a stranger, who becomes more dangerous as each day passes.

Similar to Wylde's first book, Where Did I Go?, this work is also centered on motherhood, but that is where the similarity ends; this book is about the harsh reality of finding out your life is built on lies, and is anything but humorous. She describes in graphic detail the abuse she suffered both physically and mentally, and then her worst nightmare; standing up to an abusive and horrifyingly dysfunctional family trying to steal her children, and turn them against her. She tells how damaging the evil games of selfish adults hurt her children, and her disbelief at how little justice seems to be left in the world. Still, as is her way, she keeps going, fueled by the pure joy that only a mother receives from her children's love, which cannot be bought or replaced, no matter how hard anyone tries.

Where Did I Go? will take a mother from tears to belly laughs in a matter of a few chapters, and then back around again as she sees much of herself in Wylde's shoes. Where Do I Go From Here, shows the horror and heartbreak a mother must go through in order to keep her sanity as her babies are taken away from her at times, after being inseparable since birth with the exception of school and work. She also explains how she had to learn how to quickly wipe away her tears before her children could see them, and put on a brave face when her grief and sorrow is at its pinnacle.

Wylde tells how her life and finances start to quickly diminish as she continues to have to provide for the children all on her own, as a drug addicted, dead beat dad, does nothing but play mind games, and tries to destroy her by generating enormous attorney's fees, hording his own money for himself by using the full support and financial backing of an evil and wealthy family to accomplish his spiteful plans. In Where Did I Go?, Wylde reveals the truth about being a mother, but gives that truth away, unknowingly, as a mother who lives in denial about the real nature of her husband, and how so many women become emotionally vulnerable to this type of narcissistic man.

Prior to reading Where Do I Go From Here; When the Scars Don't Show, it is best to have read Wylde's first novel, Where Did I Go?, which is the perfect gift for Mother's Day, as it will remind a mom that her long journey from womanhood to motherhood was worth it all. Wylde lets her know that she understands when she didn't see another adult for days, went months without a full night's sleep, couldn't finish a sentence, go to the bathroom alone, make a telephone call in peace, and that one pivotal day in her life as a mom; the day she awoke, looked in the mirror, perplexed, and asked her reflection:
