Local Artist Teaches Aspiring Creators How to Make Their Own Toys

Jesse James Wroblewski, Creator of the Puppet Terrors line of toys and comics, has launched a series of educational videos teaching fellow artists how to make and market their own toys.

Mastic Beach, NY (PRWEB) May 2, 2009

For most of his life, Jesse James Wroblewski has been an avid collector and creator of toys and other assorted oddities. His Puppet Terrors toy line has been sold around the world in the popular novelty chain store "Spencer's Gifts," and has spawned a comic book series and even a popular theme song. "I've always loved toys, it's gotten to a point where I buy pretty much anything I can get my hands on," says Wroblewski.

Being such an enthusiastic collector means always wanting new and better toys, but Mr. Wroblewski has found that sometimes the supply doesn't meet his demands, so he's made an effort to change that with his "Toy Creator," series of instructional videos, featured on his http://www.toy-creator.com website. "What more could a toy collector want than new and exciting toys on store shelves to buy?" says Wroblewski, who hopes his video series will not only teach budding artists to enter the field of toy making, but also help to further popularize the ever growing independent toy market.

From his in-house "toy creation laboratory" located in Mastic Beach, on the south shore of Long Island, Wroblewski has produced the six part, downloadable video series, which advises artists on everything from making prototypes of toys, to obtaining production and distribution for their ideas. "Without question, this is one of the most rewarding, and coolest jobs anyone could have. I've learned a lot of the years about how to make, market and distribute toys, and I'm hoping to help others skip over the hard parts and get right to the fun."

Keeping his audience's possible limitations in mind, Wroblewski has made an effort to explain how each step of the process can be done on a limited budget and even with limited artistic talent. "Some people have fantastic ideas, but just aren't able to draw or sculpt," says Wroblewski, "but that shouldn't stop them from getting to put new toys out on the shelves."
