A Decade In, ARusticGarden.com Celebrates with a New Blog
Long running website, ARusticGarden.com, is going into its ten year anniversary and continues to add new products and recently added a brand new informative blog.
Mount Sterling, IL (PRWEB) May 2, 2009 -- Eleven years ago, entrepreneur Susan Ingram was an antique dealer who made her way online with her own website. The year after, the web store developed into www.ARusticGarden.com, a site that specializes in rustic themed furniture and rustic wrought iron accents for the backyard or garden.
Garrett Ingram, Susan's son, has joined the family business as a co-owner: "The products that we have on our site definitely encourage a do-it-yourself approach," he said. "It works well for customers who don't want to or can't hire contractors. This is especially true of our fencing line."
A host of different designs in garden fences, many of the beautifully crafted barriers are iron wrought and can be customized.
"We can fill any area in a yard, garden or the inside of a home. We can take any drawing and specifications and build a fence to suit them," said Ingram. "This isn't like going to a hardware store and picking up something that will last a season. This is buying something that will last a long time and that is unique."
Now into their tenth year as A Rustic Garden, the Ingrams are still expanding their catalog and moving forward with larger footprints online, though elements of the original storefront, such as antique wooden ladders are still a large part of their business.
"We're currently adding more to our cast iron urn line because the longevity of the materials allows our customers to buy a product that will last a lifetime. We're always adding new planters of all kinds," Ingram explained.
A new feature that has recently debuted is the new informational blog, www.ARusticGardenBlog.com.
The blog covers a wide variety of topics in garden improvement, ranging from how to install fences to open discussions about current projects.
"The main idea was to create something that would enact as a community for people who could possibly be thousands of miles apart from each other. We all have a bond in which we work hard to establish a certain look to our gardens and backyards and I think that the exchanging of those ideas is wonderful," said Ingram.
At ten years old, ARusticGarden.com has no signs of slowing down and, if anything, they continue to have the fire and hunger that many businesses lose after only a few months. Clearly they've taken the "rust" out of rustic.
