Manassas, VA (PRWEB) May 2, 2009
Cape Fox Professional Services (CFPS), a provider of advanced technology business solutions, is one of six companies selected by the U.S. Army to compete for future task orders within its selection of Battle Command products. CFPS will compete for task orders within the contract ceiling of $777M--all of which must be initiated within the contract's five-year period of performance.
Under the Battle Command indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle, the Army will acquire communications, control, computers, reconnaissance (C4ISR), surveillance, and intelligence services, products and solutions. The Battle Command IDIQ contract is managed by Project Manager Battle Command, based in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.
CFPS will assist in the effort to migrate the many systems linked by the Army Battle Command System into a net-centric, service-oriented architecture that will enable interoperability with other Army systems. Additionally, the CFPS strategy will provide agile systems capable of responding to the changing needs of commanders in the field on demand-- where and when needed.
"CFPS is honored to have the opportunity to support the U.S. Army's Battle Command efforts to provide integrated battle command capabilities, training, and support to our Warfighters in the field, " said Byron A. Van Epps, CEO and President of CFPS. "Our experience in providing value-driven advanced technology solutions will provide the rapid response necessary for the PM Battle Command Team in developing interoperable innovations for tomorrow while supporting Warfighters in the field today."
