South Beach Gym Announces Eight Week Group Program to Turn Gym Haters into Fitness Buffs

ProperForm Private Fitness Training is now accepting reservations for its Personal B.E.S.T. program. The eight-week intensive program combines a rigorous six day per week training schedule with educational seminars and group support to bring enrollees to a new level of health and fitness.

Miami Beach, FL (PRWEB) May 6, 2009 -- Over the years, ProperForm--a popular, private South Beach gym--has helped hundreds of clients achieve a higher level of personal health and fitness through its exclusive one on one training programs. This reputation for success prompted frequent requests for a group program that can be completed in a shorter period, while yielding significant results. To meet the demand for such a program, the gym's owners have created Personal B.E.S.T.

"Personal B.E.S.T. is all about change. Change of habits. Change of outlook. Change in you," explains George J. Pilibosian, ProperForm Co-Founder. Mr Pilibosian adds that, "When it comes to change, we have just two choices. We can let it control us, or we can control the change." The eight-week program will give participants all the tools they to need take control of their bodies, change them for the better and enjoy a more active and fulfilling lifestyle for years to come.

Personal B.E.S.T. is constructed around four main pillars of activity, each of equal importance:

B-ENCHMARK         E-DUCATE         S-UPPORT         T-RAIN

Benchmark
While this is a group program, each participant will begin with a private, one on one interview and assessment. This gives the gym's fitness staff an opportunity to document the current level of experience and ability of each participant. The participants will then be placed in groups of three to six individuals with similar profiles. Throughout the program, the progress of each participant will be measured utilizing the gym's advanced tools, including the Bod Pod--Body Composition Tracking System.

Educate
The purpose of the program is for not only the participants to lose fat and gain lean mass, but also to learn how to improve daily habits that affect personal health and fitness. This will ensure they are on the path to a healthier lifestyle long after the program is completed. Learning sessions include such activities as a supermarket-shopping trip, where a staff member will take them through the aisles and discuss healthier choices along the way. Individual meal planning and advice on general nutrition is an ongoing part of the program.

Support
It is never easy or painless to make the kinds of changes we are talking about here, but it does get easier over time, Mr. Pilibosian reassures us. He adds, "The support participants receive--both from the gym's staff and from each other--helps them get through this initial phase." It starts with the dynamics of training in small groups. Knowing the person next to you is on a similar journey helps a lot. In addition, the program includes constant communication with the gym staff and among the group participants via email and a blog that is accessible by each participant. Enrollees will never feel alone as they go through the transformational process.

Train
Of course, frequent, consistent, and properly designed weight and cardio training sessions are key components of the program. During the course of the program, participants will complete six training sessions each week--three hours of strength training and three hours of a combined cardio and stretch session. The sessions will be conducted in small groups and will feature activities that participants can incorporate into their daily lives, such as power walking and other outdoor aerobic exercises.

Personal B.E.S.T. is a serious program for people who are serious about changing their lives for the better. It is normal for those considering the program to be a little nervous about what they are about to begin. Mr. Pilibosian notes, however, "Once they have had the opportunity to meet the other enrollees and the ProperForm staff, it's likely the excitement and anticipation of what lies ahead will replace any hesitations about starting this transformational journey."

The next eight-week session starts Saturday, June 6, and reservations will be taken until May 30, 2009. Anyone interested in the program may contact ProperForm via email or by phone at (305) 531-8818.
