Robin And The Giant Locked Up For Good
Recording artists and radio personalities Robin And The Giant are being voluntarily "locked up" for good! It's part of the 2009 Muscular Dystrophy Association's fund raising campaign in which celebrities are placed in a mock jail until enough bail has been raised to earn back their freedom.
Ocala, FL (PRWEB) May 6, 2009 -- Entertainment personalities Robin And The Giant have, for the second year in a row, agreed to be voluntarily "locked up for good" by the Muscular Dystrophy Association to help raise money for the organization's annual fundraiser.
The duo has been seen recently playing the stage at the Orange Blossom Opry, they'll be performing at The Appleton Museum Of Art in Ocala on May 30th, they are presenting awards at the Student Media Festival on LIVE TV on Friday May 8th, they are on NewsTalk 1370 WOCA in Ocala every weekday morning, and NOW it looks like they'll be "singin' the blues" behind bars unless they can raise $3,200 by May 20th.
Of course, it's all for a very good cause. Robin And The Giant, along with dozens of other well known names, will be picked up and driven to a secluded location (last year it was a Country Club) where they'll be subject to nothing but bread and water (well, last year there were plenty of kaiser rolls and cold cuts) and have to sweat it out with the other inmates on a bank of phones calling anyone and everyone they can think of to help bail them out.
This news release will literally reach tens of thousands of people. Just one dollar from everyone would do the trick (and it's all tax deductible).
