Sailing Racing Rules Instruction Becomes A Google Gadget
Sailing Rules Instruction is now a Google gadget and can be placed on any website.
(Vocus/PRWEB ) May 6, 2009 -- UK-Halsey Sailmakers continues to pioneer ways to help sailors master the racing rules, especially facing the significant changes made in those rules this year. Their latest tool is a Google Gadget that can be placed on virtually any website and links instantly to a bundle of five animated rules quizzes. These show developing race course situations and explain the rules that apply -- an incredibly simple yet powerful way to learn and understand. And UK-Halsey is providing their Rules Gadget at no charge to anyone with a website.
Because the Rules Gadget is built to Google standards, it is easy to incorporate in a website, occupies little space and thus does not impair operation. It is a very engaging website feature for sailing publications, yacht clubs, sailing organizations and marine businesses, particularly useful in building traffic and return visits for those sites. It is also a superb method to help build the sport of sailing, a task we all need to be working on.
Once installed, UK-Halsey can remotely refresh the animations package, replacing the five rules situations with new material automatically, keeping come-back interest high. The rules analysis for each situation has been developed by Rob Overton, who was recently appointed Chairman of US Sailing’s Racing Rules Committee, effectively the chief rules writer for the United States; so, the reliability of his wise advice is above any challenge.
The Gadget can be viewed by going to UK-Halsey's sailing rules gadget page.
