The Ash Grove is a historic nightclub that operated on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles from 1958 to 1973 under Ed Pearl. Its colorful history, which includes three fires in which arson is suspected, is told by owner Ed Pearl in a recent issue of Crawdaddy.com (http://crawdaddy.wolfgangsvault.com/Article/Ed-Pearl-Back-to-the-Ash-Grove.html)

Photographer Philip Melnick has captured the imagery of the historic club in his collection, newly added to the Wolfgangsvault photography archive: http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/ar/philip-melnick/111257/r32p1s1/fc/photography/PO.html

Wolfgangsvault.com is where live music lives, the home of the largest archive of concert recordings, items related to live music and all things that tell the comprehensive story of the live music experience of the past 60 years.
