Nitobi's RobotReplay Acquired by ForeSee Results for New Session Recording Tool

Nitobi's RobotReplay technology has been acquired by ForeSee Results for its suite of predictive customer satisfaction analytics tools.

Vancouver, BC. (PRWEB) May 7, 2009 -- Nitobi Inc. announces today that RobotReplay--its website session recording technology--has been acquired by ForeSee Results, an online customer satisfaction measurement company. ForeSee Results modified and enhanced RobotReplay and has integrated the technology into its suite of predictive customer satisfaction analytics tools.

RobotReplay first launched at Web 2.0 Expo in 2007. It was designed to record and play back visitor sessions for any website. It showed mouse movements, keystrokes, where users clicked, how far they scrolled down a page, and more. RobotReplay was a natural extension of Nitobi's research and development program. It supported the company's mission to find new ways to build better user experiences on the web.

ForeSee Results acquired RobotReplay last fall and developed the technology to integrate into its existing platform. The result is CS SessionReplay, a tool that records what selected site visitors are seeing and doing on a website in a real-time movie format. It records a user's mouse clicks and movements, page scrolling, form entry, and all interactivity with a website. The technology allows companies to get a deeper view of the online experience without the artificial environment or expense of a usability lab.

"We created RobotReplay as a tool that would shed some light on user behavior," said Andre Charland, Nitobi CEO and co-founder. "I'm really pleased with the way ForeSee Results has integrated RobotReplay technology into its product suite. It's been a thrill to see some of Nitobi's many R&D efforts applied in such an innovative way."

"We've been really impressed with the high level of R&D going on at Nitobi," said Larry Freed, president and CEO of ForeSee Results. "The technology we acquired from Nitobi is going to be a tremendous added value to our clients because of the way it integrates session replay capabilities with our existing customer satisfaction platform."

"This product extension will incorporate a whole new dimension of analysis for our clients that raw data alone cannot provide," said Drew Bennett, senior product director at ForeSee Results.

Another Nitobi research and development project, PhoneGap, won the Launch Pad competition at Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco this spring.
