This capability is ideal for creating mock-ups of custom retail packaging designs quickly and at high resolution. A 54" Mimaki Digital Printer is used to do the digital printing. The high resolution printing is done on an opaque white vinyl substrate and is seamlessly bonded to the packaging material. A full package mockup then can be created that duplicates the final production rendering.
The digital printing capability allows high resolution simulation of the package graphics. This allows a designer to create several graphically rich mock ups quickly and with no tooling costs. Printing plates for package printing can cost thousands of dollars.
