This state of the art equipment has been used to grade top quality potatoes by a brand leading processor in the UK. The equipment lends itself to grading of a wide range of root vegetables and other agri products.

The grading machines manufactured in 2001 / 2004 & 2006 have the potential to grade 60 tonnes/hour and are specially designed to handle both loose skin and set skin product without causing damage. The equipment is in the main supplied by R J Herbert, Europe's leading manufacturers of systems for the fresh vegetable packing industry. Haith Tickhill provide the 2006 line and being The Haith group specialise in potato and vegetable handling machinery and equipment as well as stone handling, water treatment and robotic equipment. The grading systems are compatible with Integrated Management System (IMS), IMS allows processors to see rates of production in real time, as well as stock levels and the age of stock, providing 100% tractability. Items to be sold include along with traditional bulk tippers, hoppers and various coveyoring systems, various complete screen graders, Vertifill box and bag fillers, Haith Supafill box fillers and packing stations.

The sale on instructions of Makins Limited, who specialise in chill storage and dry storage, potato handling, potato grading and potato distribution in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Makins also are expert handlers of soft fruit, are strawberry producers, blackberry producers and also produce other soft fruits.

Having one of the largest dedicated chill store and dry store warehouses in Europe Makins can accommodate large volumes of potatoes and soft fruit. Extensive experience in potato and soft fruit production and distribution throughout The U.K. and Europe make the equipment of particular interest to potential purchasers.
