Nnamdi Godson Osuagwu Releases His Second Book - A Souvenir For My Mom: First Hand Accounts From the 2009 US Presidential Inauguration

New Work Captures Thoughts, Feelings and Insights About the Inauguration of America's First African American President

New York, NY (PRWEB) May 12, 2009 -- This week, emerging author and entrepreneur Nnamdi Godson Osuagwu released the print edition of his second book, the self published, A Souvenir For My Mom: First Hand Accounts From The 2009 US Presidential Inauguration.

A Souvenir For My Mom is an exploration that provides readers with an hour-by-hour account of Osuagwu's experience at the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, as well as chronicles the words and emotions of the scores of people he encountered while in Washington, D.C. for this historic occasion. Osuagwu was inspired to embark upon this project after his mother, who was unable to travel to D.C. for the inauguration, asked him to bring her back a souvenir. Instead of bringing back a t-shirt or a mug, he decided that he would document the momentous event for her and others to experience and to enjoy for years to come. Osuagwu explains, "I wanted to create an interactive book based on that day for my mother. I thought that would be the ultimate souvenir…a way for her to live vicariously through my experience."

A Souvenir For My Mom was first introduced in March via ebookumentary™ (a term coined and trademarked by Osuagwu), a format in which video footage is embedded into the electronic version of the book. Both the electronic and print versions of the book are available at Osuagwu's website, http://www.IceCreamMelts.com and the print version is also available at http://www.Amazon.com and select retail locations nationwide. In addition, the book has an associated blog on IceCreamMelts.com called "What's Your Inauguration 2009 Story?" which allows readers to watch inauguration footage and share their personal inauguration stories.
