Rhode Island Restaurants To Compete For $15,000 Prize Package in Providence Competition
Rhode Island's World of Flavors Competition to kick off Providence Restaurant Weeks at the Bank of America Skating Center on July 12th. The competition is now accepting registration from Rhode Island restaurants.
Providence, RI (PRWEB) May 13, 2009 -- QuickWhatsUp.com (http://www.quickwhatsup.com) is proud to launch the first multicultural culinary competition in Rhode Island at the Providence Skating Center on Sunday, July 12th. The World of Flavors Competition (http://www.riworldofflavors.com) will showcase a broad cross-section of Rhode Island finest restaurants as they compete for the top prize in their world region: Americana, South of the Border, European & Mediterranean, and Asian & Indian. The event will be hosted by Shawn Tempesta of Fox Providence's Rhode Show. With live demonstrations, music by Spogga, and up to forty restaurants sampling their eats, it's a great way for Rhode Island foodies to kick off Providence Restaurant Week!
The restaurants will be competing for a prize package worth over $15,000, including appearances on the Rhode Show, commercials on Fox Providence and WPRI Channel 12, commercials on 95.5 WBRU, a professional photography package by IHI Design, a creative consulting session with print and broadcast advertising producer Tony Aguilar, a GoogleAds campaign by Precision Web Marketing, a graphic redesign package by Artinium Inc., a professional printing package by Sir Speedy Providence and more. One winner will be selected from each category by popular vote.
The competition will be held following the Iron Man 70.3 triathalon in downtown Providence, and the day after the culmination of Sound Session, capping off a fantastic weekend full of cultural experiences.
The competition begins at 1:00pm. The Providence Skating Center is located at 2 Kennedy Plaza in downcity Providence.
