Combine Paris Hotels and the Pocket Films Festival
Only a month or so remains for pocket film buffs to book hotels in Paris in order to make the very most of the Festival Pocket Films. The event will be hosted by the iconic Pompidou Centre.
Salford, Manchester (PRWEB) May 15, 2009 -- Only a month or so remains for pocket film buffs to book hotels in Paris in order to make the very most of the Festival Pocket Films, which is due to take place in the French capital between June 11th and 14th.
The event will be hosted by the iconic Pompidou Centre and will celebrate the many exciting possibilities that exist in filmmaking on a mobile phone camera.
As such, the event showcases a wide array of mini features, including comedies and tragedies, as well as realist and absurdist pieces.
The organisers explain: "The festival will honour artists with unique experience, who come from multiple spheres - Pippo Delbono, Joseph Morder, Richard Texier and Olivier Ducastel.
A panel of judges will preside over the proceedings and prizes will be awarded to the filmmakers who have pushed the boundaries of direction and production.
Tickets for the event can be purchased on the door and are included in the price of general admission to the centre.
The Pompidou Centre is the brainchild of President Georges Pompidou and has a history dating back to 1977. Around six million people visit the facility on an annual basis.
Open every day except Tuesdays, the centre can be visited between 11:00 and 21:00 local time. A number of special late-night openings also take place to allow guests to see certain exhibitions until later in the evening.
