PowerPhone Names Eric Esfahanian as VP of Sales and Marketing

Appointment reflects the company's focus to build upon recent successes with 9-1-1 training and technology throughout North America, Asia, and the Caribbean.

Madison, CT (PRWEB) May 15, 2009 -- PowerPhone, a leading provider of 9-1-1 call handling solutions, today announced the appointment of Eric Esfahanian as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He will focus on PowerPhone's worldwide sales and marketing efforts, including alliances and channel development. Eric will lead the firm's growth objectives in the rapidly expanding market for public sector solutions that address call consistency, quality assurance, agency liability, and as well as regulatory compliance for 9-1-1 and emergency communications.

Esfahanian has been a highly successful executive and sales leader for more than 12 years with established high-tech firms, Hewlett-Packard, EMC, and MicroStrategy, and has been noted for growing sales in almost every segment of technology and professional services across a dozen geographies. In his new role, he will also provide strategic guidance to the company's product strategy and overall business development.

"Eric rose to the top of our candidate list quickly because of his success in high-growth organizations, knowledge of multiple markets, regions, industry segments, and indirect channels," said Chris Salafia, PowerPhone's President and CEO. "We are very pleased to have someone of Eric's background to lead our sales, marketing and business development initiatives through the next stages of growth."

"It's clear people are relying more than ever on that one number, 9-1-1, to get the help they need quickly. Our principal objective is to find new ways to help agencies cost-effectively deploy the right emergency services at the right time, every time, to save more lives, and protect responders," said Esfahanian about the opportunity. "PowerPhone has the people, processes, and technology to help any agency - from the smallest rural PSAPs to the largest command and control centers on the face of the earth. As public expectations continue to rise, I'm excited about the enormous potential for growth and the improved public safety that goes along with it."

Esfahanian earned his MBA from F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College, and a BA from Boston College.
