WebcamVue.com Announces Live Mobile Webcam at Cannes Film Festival

New website startup webcamVue.com announces a live mobile webcam at Cannes International Film Festival. During the opening weekend of the 62nd film festival (15th - 19th May 2009) live images will be transmitted from the Cote D'Azur to all viewers of webcamVue.com.

Cannes, Cote D'Azur (PRWEB) May 16, 2009 -- The new global website startup www.webcamVue.com officially launches worldwide at the Cannes Film Festival. Using innovative technology we plan to travel the Cote D'Azur using an apple iphone app to allow access to areas that static webcams don't normally reach. Visit www.webcamVue.com to see existing webcams in Cannes, Nice and Monaco.

"We hope to bring a small slice of the Cannes' atmosphere to internet users all over the globe," said Philip Alderson, marketing director for webcamVue.com. "It's a unique opportunity to announce the new website to the world and show what the mobile webcams are capable of."

Using Wifi hot spots in and around the French Riviera we will be positioning the camera so as to capture the best views of the region. We will be allowing saved images to be viewed on the website and users can request removal if they don't want to appear in the archive.

The free webcam directory allows access to public webcams, some of which don't appear in any other websites. We have spent 3 years creating what we think is the best directory which allows 'all' webcams to expand full screen without the need for hundreds of downloads.

Using the Adobe Flash plugin we avoid the necessity to install custom software for each camera. With new operating systems, avoiding installing lots of activex plugins is a good idea, you could be installing anything onto your machine. We decided Flash was wide spread enough throughout the internet to be best format. Flash is already used by YouTube to display their video files.

For additional information on the Cannes Live Event or any other question regarding webcamVue.com, contact Philip Alderson.

New features are being added all the time, the latest being Google Maps integration.
