Rolling Out Radio For The 21st Century
Now music artists can be seen and heard! Great video content while listening to independent artists in several mainstream genres.
Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) May 16, 2009 -- Multi-Media production company, HarrisToursProductions announced today they're rolling out "Radio for the 21st Century". 'Visual Radio' is what company owners Derryl and Barbara Harris say it will likely be the model for most all radio delivery via the Internet. "Not only are people forced to listen to the same old songs on traditional radio, but most radio programming doesn't provide much creative for the listener's imagination. However, new and fresh sounds with images provide a quick cure."
'Visual Radio' is a Windows Media video stream coupled with radio programming from independent artists of very high caliber helping them be both seen and heard. Both the quality of the songs, recordings and the performances, equal any recordings done today.
This is the kind of portal where new artists, and some past hit makers like Restless Heart and Billy Joe Royal, debut their music from flag ship Internet radio www.webradiopugetsound.com. Al Jardine, one of the founding members of the Beach Boys, contributes id tags for WRPS which began operation in 2000 along with KING TV's Joe Michaels. Bud and nancy host the programming.
The 'Visual Radio' faceplate on the homepage of WRPS/WebRadioPugetSound, contains several genre mixes or 'Jack', as well as Rock, Lite and Mellow and Country. Platinum programs found on the faceplate are individual artist's songs and profile. More genre programs are being planned.
Advertising on the video streams is designed to promote both local business as well as artists who have a message to get out about their CD release, venues and contact information, utilizing current digital technology. Derryl says his company can produce video for the client or use theirs. Music tracks are swapped out periodically and all advertising campaigns are 13 week blocks.
In addition to traditional mp3 audio streams, 96kbps and 32kbps, found on the homepage of WRPS, www.webradiopugetwsound.com, also offers web design and marketing videos for business and entertainers.
Harris has been in the entertainment industry working in radio, recording and music performance for 38 years.
