The United Way of Salt Lake (UWSL) bestowed its highest corporate award to CHG Healthcare Services, naming CHG as its United Way Corporate Partner of the Year for 2009 at an honors luncheon.

CHG president and CEO Michael Weinholtz weaves community involvement through UWSL into the fabric of his organization. In the past year, CHG supported the Live United campaign through an advertising sponsorship in addition to adopting the Live United theme into its corporate culture by including the new branding on their Web site.

"Giving back to our community is something we take very seriously. We take a lot of pride in doing everything we can do to make it a better place for everyone to live, work and play," said Mr. Weinholtz.

In 1999, CHG's first workplace-giving campaign raised just over $20,000. Today, with over 90 percent employee participation combined with a dollar-for-dollar corporate match on employee gifts, CHG raises more than $250,000 for UWSL.

CHG also supports United Way through event sponsorships and employee participation in special events including Day of Caring and the Young Leaders annual event. CHG employees can also be found among UWSL's Board of Directors, the Women's Philanthropic Network, Young Leaders, and several other organizational committees.
