Abu Dhabi-Based Flash Enjoys Sweeping Awards Victory With Five Prestigious Wins

Company in its first year of operation beats off established competition to scoop awards for 'Event organizer of the year', 'Best concert' and 'Best sporting event'

Abu Dhabi, UAE (Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWEB ) May 19, 2009 -- Abu Dhabi events consultancy Flash enjoyed a sweeping victory at the Middle East Event Awards 2009. The Abu Dhabi home-grown company fought off competition from a number of global event companies, to win two of the most prestigious awards: 'Best Fair/Festival/Concert' category for the 'George Michael and Alicia Keys Live in Abu Dhabi' concert held in December last year, and 'Best Sporting Event' for the Capital World Tennis Championship, Abu Dhabi's first international tennis tournament, held in January 2009.

The two Middle East Event Awards wins come in addition to a recent slew of awards for Flash, including the prestigious 'Event Organizer of the Year' title from Sound and Stage Magazine Middle East. The company's New Years Eve spectacular 'Shakira Live in Abu Dhabi' won the 'Favorite Concert, Abu Dhabi' award at the What's on Abu Dhabi Awards 2009, whilst the 'National Day 2008' concert featuring George Michael and Alicia Keys Live in Abu Dhabi, won 'Favourite Concert, Dubai' for Flash at the What's on Dubai Awards 2009.
