Graeme Baxter Licenses Famous Golf Course Paintings to Bruichladdich Distillery, Widely Considered World's Best Whisky

Graeme Baxter and Bruichladdich Distillery have agreed to print Baxter's presitges golf course paintings such as St. Andrews Swilcan Bridge, Augusta's Amen Corner, K Club's Ryder Cup, Carnoustie, Royal Troon, Birkdale, Royal Liverpool Hoylake and Torrey Pines with plans for six more in the near future.

Stirlin, Scotland (PRWEB) May 19, 2009 -- A small, yet well known whisky company called Bruichladdich Distillery, considered the world's best whisky, chose the famous golf course paintings of Graeme Baxter to grace the label of their upscale Limited Edition bottlings.

Few know that Bruichladdich Whisky has been voted by their peers as both Best in Class and Distillery of The Year twice as well as several other respected industry awards. Bruichladdich Distillery is located on the remote Atlantic Isle of Islay and is a small privately-owned Scottish distillery producing artisanal Single Malt Whisky just as it was made back in 1881. Here, the islanders' art of distilling is still connected to its agricultural roots, with organic and heritage barleys grown on selected farms for ultimate individuality.

Microchip-free distilling in tall narrow-necked stills followed by island maturation and natural bottling produces a spirit acknowledged as the purest in Scotland. This sophisticated, complex, multi-layered whisky is uniquely Islay-bottled to maximize the creamy texture and long finish.

"Bruichladdich's Limited Edition bottlings celebrates our strong Scottish heritage. Scotland is the home of both whisky and golf, so paring world's foremost Scottish golf artist, Graeme Baxter with Bruichladdich made a lot of sense," states Andrew Gray of Bruichladdich. "We have been extremely pleased with the success of the Commemorative program and feel that Graeme's artwork has a lot to do with our success in worldwide markets."

Graeme Baxter has been painting golf landscapes and tournament winner portraits for over twenty two years. His golf art has been pursued by many for licensing, yet this is a first for Baxter. "I have to be extremely selective when choosing a licensee because my art is very personal to me and I'm cautious in nature. But when Bruichladdich approached me with their idea to produce Limited Edition commemorative whiskies with famous golf courses on the label and tin, I jumped at the chance, but don't tell them that!" Graeme mentions.

Graeme Baxter and Bruichladdich have agreed to print Baxter's famous golf course paintings such as St. Andrews Swilcan Bridge, Augusta's Amen Corner, K Club's Ryder Cup, Carnoustie, Royal Troon, Birkdale, Royal Liverpool Hoylake and Torrey Pines with plans for six more in the near future.
