Jake Records will be competing in the Creative Department of the Year category for the music industry.
Jake Records was founded in January of 2008 and has been a fast-growing presence in the music industry since. The company's aggressive approach to marketing it's recording artists and album releases has been recognized as fresh and unique, and their focus to heavy online marketing and digital sales is also closely watched by many. On the nomination and selection as a finalist, Jake Records Founder and CEO Scott Thomas said "we're excited about being named a finalist for the American Business Awards. The formal recognition that Jake Records is both innovative and highly-creative in our approach to running a modern record label is more than appreciated."
Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs will select Stevie Award winners from among Finalists in final judging that will continue through June 3. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April through early May.
"Despite very tough economic conditions, many organizations and individuals continue to perform well," said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards. "The results of the 2009 ABAs thus far are a testament to the resilience, creativity, and hard work of American organizations, executives, and workers."
"Being named a finalist for this prestigious award is a great honor," said Jake Records VP/Artist Relations, Dan Diaz. "Our marketing, creative, and administrative teams work closely together to build the profile of the company and our artists simultaneously. It's not always an easy task, and this kind of recognition helps us all to take a step back and realize that we're a part of something special here. Jake Records is an innovative company with a modern forward-looking approach to the music business, and I'm glad to see that others see it that way," he added.
