Recent internet buzz through dozens of Entertainment Blogs, and online zines, including "MTV.com" and "People Magazine Online" have been raving about the low-budget Sci-Fi film "Mega-Shark vs. Giant Octopus" starring Deborah Gibson. The film is slated for a DVD release and is at the 2009 Cannes Film Market. But that's not the end of the story..."BLOOD SNOW" (AKA: "NECROSIS" - the current U.S. Title) is also at the Cannes Film Market. "Blood Snow", produced by Unknown Productions Inc. and distributed by American World Pictures stars "Tiffany." Most people who know the 80's, know the battle between Tiffany and Debbie Gibson to be the ultimate Teen Pop Idol. It seems these two 80's icons are always showing up at the same time doing the same things. They both appeared in Playboy Magazine and now they are both in low budget Independent films.
Much different than the Sci-Fi "Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus", the Psychological Horror "Blood Snow" takes on a much more classic "Shining" type of feel. Blood Snow is a film about six friends who arrive at an isolated cabin to enjoy a long weekend in the snow. An epic snowstorm interrupts their vacation, trapping them on the mountain and resurrecting the haunting ghosts of the Donner Party. But, are they true 'entities' or is it simply 'cabin fever' that brings out their fears and darkness, causing friends to turn against each other as reality deteriorates around them. The film stars James Kyson Lee (who plays Ando on NBC's Heroes) and 7th Heaven star, George Stults. Horror Movie Icon Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes) makes a notable cameo appearance as well.
"Blood Snow" has International Distribution through American World Pictures and information is available at the Cannes "Riveria Booth C6"
The trailer is online at the American World Pictures Web site and also plays on Youtube.
Blood Snow is currently in negotiations for a domestic release and should be out later this year.
