New Rochelle NY (PRWEB) May 20, 2009 -- The UGC Foundation of United Hebrew will hold its 24th Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner on Monday, July 20, 2009 at Old Oaks Country Club, Purchase. Proceeds generated from the tournament will help the United Hebrew's UGC Foundation. Last year, more than 100 golfers participated and raised nearly $150,000.

This year's golf tournament will begin at 10 a.m. with registration, practice and a full breakfast buffet. A shotgun start will follow at noon. Between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., a barbeque lunch will be served at The Halfway House, and at 5 p.m., cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served on the main terrace. Dinner and an awards presentation will follow at 6pm in the main dining room.

Now in its fifth year, The Peter Lane Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the low gross foursome. The award was established by United Hebrew to memorialize the past president of its Board of Directors.

Old Oaks Country Club is set on 220 acres, and the 18-hole golf course was designed by Tillinghast. The 80,000 square foot clubhouse, built in 1898 and renovated several times, includes a ballroom, member grill room, pool area, dining room, two outdoor terraces, outdoor fountain garden and an arbor garden.

Anthony Nardozzi of Bedford will serve as event chairperson, and funds raised will support programs and services to be provided in United Hebrew's new nursing and rehabilitation center, which is scheduled for completion this spring.

The UGC Foundation is currently accepting sponsorships and foursomes. Prices are $850 per golfer and $3,200 per foursome. Cocktails and dinner only is $200 per person. For further information regarding the tournament and/or sponsorship opportunities, contact Grace Ferri at 914-632-2804 x190.
