Purdy School District Chooses ipConfigure's Enterprise Surveillance Manager 4.5
ipConfigure has recently launched its ESM 4.5 surveillance solution in Purdy District Schools to help protect students, staff and property
Norfolk, VA (PRWEB) May 21, 2009 -- In an effort to provide a safe and secure learning environment for its students and staff members, Purdy District Schools has selected ipConfigure's scalable enterprise surveillance manager, ESM 4.5. Currently, the Missouri school district is in the process of upgrading and reconstructing its high school, middle school, and elementary school and while doing so, Purdy Schools have also elected to upgrade its surveillance solution to ipConfigure.
ipConfigure will be managing a mixture of Mobotix and Axis network cameras for the new Purdy School District's solution. By leveraging an IP-based solution, the school district will gain better image quality as well as greater accessibility and control of its surveillance solution. For instance, most surveillance solutions only support a single frame rate setting for both live and recorded video, however, ipConfigure offers independent settings of both frame rates and resolutions for live view or recorded video.
ESM 4.5's browser based interface removes the need for Purdy District Schools to install client software while making the system available from any computer on the network. Brad Stice, ipConfigure's National Sales Manager, states "our browser based solution fits perfectly with the needs and wants of Purdy District Schools. If a fight breaks out on school property or if there is an altercation between a teacher and a student the system offers accessibility from any PC or MAC computer with a network connection to the school district's network."
To keep cost down, ESM operates with commercial off the shelf (COTS) technology to include IP cameras, servers, storage and switches and is capable of supporting an unlimited number of cameras, buildings, and users. With as few as 8 or as many as 120 IP cameras per server, ESM has the capability to add server's on-demand to support system growth.
"ipConfigure continues to experience exponential growth in the education market due to our products scalable architecture; which favors campus and citywide school applications. We at ipConfigure are pleased to be a part of the "Safe Schools" movement that Purdy District Schools and other school districts alike are pursuing," states Christopher Uiterwyk, CEO and Co-founder of ipConfigure.
