European Environment, Health & Safety Forum - Sees Record Number of Delegates

Due to popular subscription to the event, a second forum will take place later on in the year during November.

(PRWEB) May 21, 2009 -- Cardinus, (a THB Group plc member company) - providers of online injury reduction solutions and risk management within the safety, fleet, Insurance and property sectors, played host to the first European Environment, Health & Safety Forum in 2009 at 107 Leadenhall Street, London last week. Due to popular subscription to the event, a second forum will take place later on in the year during November.

Cardinus and THB Group had a fantastic turn out some key health and safety and risk management delegates, including a select few who flew in from worldwide destinations including Saudi Arabia

Cardinus brought together a collection of industry professionals to share their experiences and take part in a series of carefully crafted workshops on the subject of environmental health and safety practices. The forum is sponsored by THB Group and the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and endorsed by the EU Occupational Safety and Health Agency.

The aim of the forum is to provide a regular opportunity for health and safety professionals to exchange views and share experience on issues of topical interest and to develop improved practices that can be implemented within their organisations. The format of the day, led by Barry Holt - Head of Health and Safety at Cardinus, comprised of morning and afternoon sessions, each consisting of an introductory presentation on an issue by a leading expert in the field, followed by facilitated workshops on key elements of the subject. Topics covered were: "Communication for environment, health and safety" introduced by Clare Solomon of Hill Solomon and "Dealing with psycho-social issues" introduced by Andy Nicholson Managing Director of Cardinus partner company, Hu-Tech.

Jon Abbott, Managing Director, Cardinus said: "We are confident that our now twice-yearly event serves industry professionals and opinion formers to the highest order. This is the only type of event where hands on workshops become knowledge sharing debates and people take away valuable advice.
