Air New Zealand's "Nothing To Hide" campaign isn't quite what you'd expect from a corporate airline. Radical corproate transparency at its best.
El Segundo, CA (PRWEB) May 21, 2009 -- Air New Zealand's new "Nothing To Hide" campaign isn't exactly what you'd expect from a corporate airline. Eight Air New Zealand employees, including CEO Rob Fyfe, stripped down to body paint to go about their daily duties, proving a very authentic and public point that Air New Zealand airfares have "Nothing To Hide."
Rallying against airlines that charge fees for passengers to check a bag or have a drink, the eight body-painted employees have attracted more than 775,000 hits on YouTube, with behind the scenes footage attracting over 150,000 additional views.
"Consumers today demand radical transparency from companies, and rightly so," said Air New Zealand CEO, Rob Fyfe. "Along with Air New Zealand employees, I took off all my clothes to demonstrate in a remarkable way that Air New Zealand staff have nothing to hide and in fact have good reason to feel pride. I'd love other CEOs to follow suit if it would help consumers to feel more confident in organizations!"
A New Zealand-based campaign, the TV and online creative concept stemmed from a positive response to the carrier's airport billboards, depicting real pilots in body paint. While eight employees were selected to bare all, more than 90 Air New Zealanders participated in the making of the commercial - both on and off camera. Advertising agency .99 is responsible for the concept, with Exposure credited with the execution. The soundtrack used for the commercial is "Under my Skin" by New Zealand artist, Gin Wigmore.
