Weekday guests at the Highland Lake Resort in Bridgton, Maine, will receive a free full breakfast for two at the local Bridgton Hospital Guild Coffee Shop, with all proceeds to benefit the hospital and its patients. This full, hot breakfast, with plenty of options for young and old, is a perfect start to your day.
Bridgton, Maine (PRWEB) May 23, 2009 -- Through June 30, 2009, guests at the Highland Lake Resort in Bridgton, Maine, will be able to have a free, delicious, hot breakfast at the Bridgton Hospital Guild Coffee Shop to start their day, knowing that their good fortune is also good for the hospital and its patients. From now through end of June, guests who stay Sunday through Friday will receive a coupon for two free breakfasts at the coffee shop, located less than a mile from the Resort. With a choice of eggs, oatmeal, pancakes (plain, blueberry, or chocolate chip, no less), French toast, or a "breakfast sandwich", bacon or sausage, hash browns, and a choice of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, or juice, the full breakfasts at the coffee shop are popular with the locals, but virtually unknown to the traveling public.
"We wanted to provide a good start to our guest's day, but also wanted to help out the Hospital Guild's good works," said Highland lake Resort owner Woody Woodward. "This promotion benefits all."
The Hospital Guild's coffee shop is located in the former hospital building, located just behind the new, state-of-the-art Bridgton Hospital, built within the last ten years. The Guild uses the proceeds from the shop to help support the hospital and its patients, so all money paid for the coupons goes right to its fundraising efforts.
"Not only is the food delicious and the location convenient, the volunteers who work at the coffee shop love to chat with the diners and offer suggestions on great places to visit and things to see in the area," adds Woodward. "It's like having a breakfast with good friends who love to share their knowledge of the region."
