Mr. Dilger joins Turner Green LLP from the prestigious international law firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP, where he was a counsel in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group. Mr. Dilger joins Turner Green LLP from the prestigious international law firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP. As counsel in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group at O'Melveny & Myers, Nate focused on litigating patent, trade secret and other technology related disputes. One of Nate's most notable successes was as a key member of the trial team that successfully defended News Corp and its subsidiary against allegations that it was responsible for the wide-spread piracy of EchoStar's satellite broadcast security system (Case No. SACV 03-950). While EchoStar had sought nearly $1.6 billion in damages in the widely-watched litigation, the jury awarded only a mere $45.69 in actual damages and the minimum statutory damages of $1500.
Mr. Dilger began his career at the intellectual property boutique of Lyon & Lyon LLP, where he practiced from 1997 to 2002. While at Lyon & Lyon, Nate represented clients in all aspects of intellectual property litigation, particularly patent infringement disputes. Nate also prosecuted numerous patents before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
Nate holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and earned his law degree from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1997. He is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
