ADSI Integrates Electronic Postage for USPS into Shipper for Deeper Discount Shipping Option

Electronic postage together with other recent advances such as UPS fuel surcharge updater, automatic identification of residential addresses and AES for international shipping enables ADSI Shipper to be the most powerful shipping software solution in the industry today.

(PRWEB) May 24, 2009 -- ADSI today announced additional cost saving advances for the ADSI Shipper solution. ADSI Shipper is an affordable, easy to use, multi-carrier shipping system designed specifically for the shipping department of manufacturing, warehouse, distribution and logistics companies. The newest improvement allows companies to benefit from steeper discounts on USPS.

The electronic postage generates a bar code on a 4 x 6 shipping label which takes the place of a postage meter tape, offering further discounts to make shipping with the USPS a cost effective alternative. "By transparently integrating the electronic postage, UPS fuel surcharge updates, automatic identification of residential addresses and AES into ADSI Shipper, we can offer our clients the maximum cost savings possible," said Phil Terman Vice President of Services and Solutions.

Current ADSI customers can quickly begin to benefit from the savings with ADSI's electronic postage gateway coupled with our professional services organization. Other distribution and warehouse facilities can quickly justify the shipping system with its cost saving measures by requesting an ROI analysis.

Supported domestic services are for First-Class Mail, Priority Mail, Express Mail, Media Mail Library Mail, Bound-Printed Matter and Parcel Post. International services are for First Class, Express and Priority.

UPS Fuel Surcharge Updater
"With the price of fuel continuously fluctuating, companies are not able to accurately record fuel surcharges," said Phil Terman, Vice President of Services and Solutions. "With ADSI Shipper's automatic fuel surcharge updater feature, the multi-carrier shipping solution updates the rates as soon as UPS releases the adjustments." Customers have realized significant cost savings since implementation.

Automatic Identification for Residential and Commercial Addresses
"The built in intelligence allows companies to automatically determine residential delivery addresses and realize the actual revenue without taking a loss due to inaccurate shipping rates," continued Mr. Terman. The misinterpretation of a business instead of a residence can cause incorrect assessment of shipping costs. "This can mean the difference of a profit or loss on the shipped item(s)."

AES International
The paper SED has been replaced with the electronic filing of AES, which involves a time consuming online filing process. The new Federal Trade Regulation went into effect July 2, 2008 and has the potential to cost up to $10,000 in fines if the AES is filed incorrectly or not filed at all. "ADSI recognized the significance of AES for our customers and completely automated the process eliminating filing errors that can result in costly fines," concluded Mr. Terman.
