Ashland, Oregon (PRWEB) May 24, 2009 -- The Leela Foundation announced today that its founder, Eli Jaxon-Bear, will be leaving the end of May for his European Tour scheduled to begin with a satsang in Hanover, Germany on June 4, 2009. Eli has students all over the world and is well known and respected teacher in the lineage of Papaji and Ramana Maharshi.
In 2006 Eli was diagnosed multiple myeloma and stopped teaching in order to participate in an extensive cancer treatment program. Most people do not survive more than three years after being diagnosed with this rare form of bone cancer. Eli attributes his survival to the experimental protocol developed by his Doctor, Bart Barlogie, the head of the Myeloma Institute in Arkansas.
Dr. Barlogie has pioneered many treatments that are now going mainstream. He implemented tandem stem cell transplants and proved their efficaciousness. He is also a pioneer in patient care enabling patients to receive their stem cell transplants on an outpatient basis.
Eli's health has improved dramatically and he started teaching again in 2008. During his European Tour he will be teaching in multiple cities. He will be offering his Fixation to Freedom, Enneagram retreat in Hamburg June 7 - 10th and will also be leading a Silent Retreat with his wife Gangaji in Baden Baden, Germany June 28 - July 4th.
With Eli's steadily improving health The Leela Foundation is fully functioning and planning events well into 2010. For more information regarding Eli's European Tour and all other upcoming retreats and events please visit http://www.leela.org.
