Connecticut-based William Kramer & Associates (WKA) has been appointed as the sole loss adjuster for the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project, a 23.1 mile transit system for Virginia's Fairfax and Loudoun counties. The $2.6 billion project is being constructed by the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) in cooperation with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Town of Herndon and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA).

The project contract runs for the period March 9, 2009 through July 2013. WKA representatives will be meeting with the MTA next month to further define the working relationship among the contractors and the client, Dulles Metro Transit Partners. WKA will handle all claim losses during the construction phase through its Hartford, Connecticut office.

The metrorail will serve Tysons Corner, Virginia's largest employment center, and the Reston Herndon area, the state's second largest employment concentration. And, it will provide a one-seat ride from Dulles International Airport to downtown Washington.
