Erica Rose, best known as the most outspoken "Bachelor star" in history, serves as the co-chair of the Human Rights Gala in the fight for equality. Rose uses her star power, law school education, and most of all, firm belief that everyone is entitled to love and marry whomever they choose, to stand up for equality.

"Intolerance is no longer acceptable," says Rose. "Through the Human Rights Campaign the world is becoming a more tolerant, loving, and better place, and I am so happy and proud that my family can be a part of it."

As Erica finishes law school at the University of Houston, she hopes to follow Christine Baranski's footsteps and use the degree to become an icon to the gay and lesbian community while expanding her fight for equality. Be it as a 2009 Citizen for Animal Protection honoree or as part of her parents' Rose Ribbon Foundation, which provides free reconstructive surgery to uninsured cancer patients, the desire to open minds to tolerance and acceptance is truly her passion.

Just as Miss California used narrow-mindedness and prejudice to hold onto her narrow beliefs, Erica hopes to use love and acceptance to change people's heart and minds for the better.
