Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) May 30, 2009 -- InventHelp®, America's leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Ridgewood, N.J., has designed a flexible clamp that would hold weight plates securely in place while working out. This invention is patented and a prototype available.
The "Kervin Grips" would enable an individual to perform weight-training workouts without the noise and distraction of sliding weights. The invention would offer a convenient, effective alternative to traditional weightlifting clamps or collars, and includes no loose parts that could be lost or threads that could be stripped. The one-piece, magnetic design would be quick and easy to use, and The Kervin Grips allow users to focus on their workouts rather than the equipment.
The invention consists of a pair of clamps to hold plates on a barbell, and would be constructed of styrofoam, rubber, plastic, tape, double-sided adhesive and magnets. To use, the individual would part the opening of the clamp and slide it over the bar to the outside of the plate. Once the clamp is released, it would grip around the bar and be held in place by the magnets. The user could then remove the clamp simply by parting the opening and pulling the clamp from the bar.
InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor.
