Big Tigger's 8th Annual Celebrity Classic to be held June 5 & 6, 2009 in Washington, DC

Washington, DC (PRWEB) May 30, 2009 -- Prominent TV host and Internationally Syndicated Radio personality Big Tigger will assemble an impressive line-up of celebrity athletes and entertainment notables for the All-Star Basketball Game during Big Tigger's 8th Annual Celebrity Classic. The game will be held Saturday, June 6th at 6:00pm at Trinity University's Basketball Arena in Washington, DC. Presented by the Street Corner Foundation, LLC (SCF), the premier charity weekend is designed to raise funds and heighten public awareness of HIV/AIDS.

As the anchor event of Big Tigger's 8th Annual Celebrity Classic, the celebrity basketball game will showcase the athletic ability of some of today's most watched professional athletes including Terrell Owens (NFL), Vince Carter (NBA), T.J. Houshmandzadeh (NFL), Daunte Culpepper (NFL), Deon Grant (NFL), Jerry Porter (NFL), and Sam Cassell (NBA) as well as entertainment's notables Nelly, (Hip Hop Artist), D. Woods (R&B Artist), Jurnee Smollett (Actress), Denyce Lawton (Actress), Antwon Tanner (Actor), Laz Alonzo (Actor), Wesley Jonathan (Actor), Omarosa (The Apprentice), Jackie Long (Actress), Mims (Hip Hop Artist), J. Holiday (R&B Artist) and Trey Songz (R&B Artist). The expected sell-out crowd of 2,000 fans will enjoy an implausible evening of basketball and entertainment.

Big Tigger's All-Star Basketball Game celebrates it 8th year and is best known for assembling entertainment's A-list for raising awareness of HIV/AIDS. The goal of the star-studded game and charity weekend is to support the mission of the Foundation to eradicate the spread of HIV/AIDS among young adults, minorities and women. This year, the Foundation will increase efforts and issues a celebrity call to action to heighten the awareness and response to HIV/AIDS; particularly in Washington DC - the epicenter of the devastating disease. Big Tigger's 8th Annual Celebrity Classic will attract over 25,000 participants to the DC area June 5-6, 2009.
