At 300 pages, including over 150 photographs spread throughout, this true story chronicles John Fredericks' thirty-plus years in radio and television broadcasting, adopting Jordan from a backyard breeder in Santa Barbara in 1994, their move to Las Vegas in 1996 and Jordan's eventual emergence as a beloved Las Vegas on-air personality.

The book also includes a ton of background information on radio and television broadcasting; detailed accounts of John and Jordan's two cross-country trips, Jordan's on-air antics and, of course his medical problems late in life.

As with any story about a pet (read: Marley and Me), there is only one possible outcome to this book, as you are well aware. However, while the final chapters may be difficult for pet lovers to read, most of the book is quite upbeat, amusing and informative.

Finally, "Jordan's Paws Across America" is not "Marley and Me." There is only one of those. Comparisons would be impossible. However, this book is unique and the author believes it is a very good read. Best of all, portions of the proceeds will help local homeless pets.
