Singapore (PRWEB) June 1, 2009 -- Management consulting firm Strategic Decisions Group (SDG) today announced that Peter Hopper has joined the firm as a senior member of its Technology and Private Equity practices in the Asia-Pacific region.

Peter Hopper joins SDG's technology and private equity practice in Asia.

Mr. Hopper has more than 30 years of operating experience in a wide range of technology-based industries and spent more than 20 years with Philips Electronics, most recently as CEO of Philips Mobile Display Systems. He served for almost 6 years as a member of the Philips Components senior management team and was instrumental in the divestment of many parts of the division in line with the corporate strategy at the time.

Since leaving Philips Electronics, Mr. Hopper has led a number of venture-backed companies in Asia and most recently completed a two-year stint as managing director with CCMP Capital Asia, now Unitas Capital. During his tenure with CCMP, Mr. Hopper supported portfolio companies active in the technology media and telecommunications sector and supported the firm on all technology-related deal flow. He remains actively involved in some of the firm's portfolio companies.

Mr. Hopper has an MBA from Manchester Business School and a degree in business studies, with honors, from Northumbria University in the United Kingdom. He resides in Hong Kong and is affiliated with SDG's Singapore office.
