"The Whole Picture" Wins Two Telly Classic Awards
Only for this 30th anniversary, the Telly Awards presented their Classic award honoring the best of shows from the past thirty years. Out of 13,000 entries, "The Whole Picture" and host Erin Manning walked away with two Classics.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 1, 2009 -- Only for this 30th anniversary, the Telly Awards presented their Classic award honoring the best of shows from the past thirty years. Out of 13,000 entries, "The Whole Picture" and host Erin Manning walked away with two Classics.
It's not the first time that Manning has been honored by the Telly Awards. Since 2006 she has received seven bronze Tellys for her work on the "how to" show, The Whole Picture.
"I'm delighted and thankful," Manning said, "Delighted that I was able to inspire so many people to capture great memories and display them like the pros. Thankful that even after three years, the show is still held in such high regard."
The Whole Picture is a 26-episode show about digital photography on the DIY Network. Though not currently airing in the United States, the show remains popular and is syndicated in the Philippines and Australia.
The premise of the series is to explain, demonstrate, and illustrate every phase of digital photography to people who have little or no knowledge of photography or computers. In each episode Manning, an expert photographer, teaches an all-inclusive lesson on a specific digital photography project, providing viewers with "the whole picture."
In addition to her work on The Whole Picture, Erin Manning authored the book, Portrait and Candid Photography, and appeared on DIY's Enable Your Home as the techno-lifestyle guru.
